Natural Snail Control

The number-one method of snail control in your garden is hand collection. If you are an organic gardener, or wish to be, I can help you reduce your garden mollusk population and restore balance to your lovely garden in a sustainable way. I collect snails by the light of the moon (and a flashlight) or in the dew of the dawn. After an initial assessment of your needs ($20) I will recommend how many visits/how often and suggest other gardening tips about healthy pest reduction and garden vitality if you so desire. My pail rate is $20/hr.

Escargot Preparation / Recipes

My goals with this enterprise are to clean up your snails, keep pollutants out of our land and water, and lastly, to change perceptions about garden mollusks; they are such a rich, delicious source of protein and minerals. Click here for escargot recipes.

Snail / escargot Preparation

Yes, with mercury on the rise in our fish, and concerns over all the waste that contaminates our oceans and drinking water, it is high time we looked at our own backyards as a source of nourishment and health rather than another piece of land to pollute. Once I collect the snails, I purge and fast them so that they may be prepared for cooking. Because of this, I need to know if you use any form of pesticide or bait before I start collecting your escargots. I can offer natural alternatives for many pests. They are not as deadly or immediate, but they are conscientious solutions and are an important step in ending our tendency to ignore our own personal impact on our planet and its inhabitants.

Thank you!
